Kingdom East School District, which includes seven Prek - 8 schools, is looking to hire a Literacy Coach/Interventionist. The candidate must be a dynamic, high quality literacy leader interested in joining a forward thinking organization. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with classroom teachers to strengthen their literacy program (including lesson studies, lab sessions, instructional rounds and other embedded programs), providing professional learning, collaborating or ensuring a written curriculum, using formative and summative assessments to drive professional development, and working with a district literacy steering committee to guide literacy instruction district-wide. Individual will work closely with Director of Innovation and Learning, the instructional coaching team, and principals.

Experience with PreK-8 effective literacy strategies, workshop model, Teachers’ College reading and writing units of study, Common Core, the PLC at Work collaborative approach, Universal Design for Learning and formative assessment is a priority. The Concord School seeks a Maintenance / Custodian for the purpose of working with the Kingdom East Facilities Manager in planning, organizing the daily maintenance, repair and alteration of Concord campus buildings and grounds; collaboratively planning and developing facilities projects and general upkeep; ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines. This position also requires custodial tasks including cleaning, disinfecting, dusting and floor care. 

Candidates shall have proven experience collaborating with others, written and oral communication skills,  coordinating special events, keeping buildings and equipment operating, scheduling vendors and inspections  Experience must include optimizing daily custodial and maintenance routines, efficiencies, working with vendors and contractors, preventive maintenance practices, and maintaining electronic surveillance equipment. 

Health and safety responsibilities include maintaining school security and safety equipment, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) updates, requirements are met and documented. (i.e. Asbestos, VOSHA, OSHA, water testing, etc.) and the use of environmentally preferable products in compliance with all Vermont statutes.

This position is a full year, full benefit, hourly position which includes  standard vacation and health package.

Kingdom East School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE School-Based Clinician to provide clinical mental health services to students in our schools.  The candidate will join the Kingdom East mental health team of other school-based clinicians, school psychologist, school-to-home coordinators, guidance counselors and school nurses.  The important and critical work of the school-based clinician includes preventative models, intervention for specific diagnoses, special education services, 504 services, Educational Support Team services and other models of school supports.  The candidate will be responsible for providing individual therapy and development of treatment plans, psychosocial evaluations and assessments, behavior planning, family work and consultation within the school setting with consistent opportunities for collaboration with teachers, school administrators and the Kingdom East mental health team.  Clinical Master’s degree required; licensure preferred. Enthusiasm and love of working with children is required. Experience with school and/or children’s mental health preferred.

The School to Home Coordinator (SHC) is based at a school(s) and is highly integrated into the functioning of the school. The Assistant Site Coordinator will:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional and dependable educator for this new position in our high quality Afterschool Program for students in grades K-8.

The Assistant Site Coordinator will:

  • Provide in-person support to Group Leaders, Enrichment Instructors, and contracted activity personnel; 
  • Provide student supervision during all scheduled group activities;
  • Assist with student behavior planning and discipline matters as needed;
  • Assist Site Coordinator with student attendance database and forms;
  • Assist with planning, calendars, newsletters, and inventory tracking as needed;
  • Act as Substitute Site Coordinator for regularly scheduled Site Coordinator absences, as well as last unplanned absences as much as possible;
  • Follow 21st Century Community Learning Center grant requirements and school policies and procedures.  

This is a part time, school year position (16 hours per week) located at Sutton Village School.  Typical on-site work hours are Monday through Thursday, 2:00pm-6:00pm.  Proficiency in, and/or willingness to learn, Google Docs and other computer programs required.

The Sutton Village School, serving about 90 children K-grade 8, announces the hiring of a mathematics and science teacher for our 6th, 7th, and 8thgrade middle school team.  Candidates must be dynamic, high-quality teachers interested in joining a school focused on personalization and authentic learning. Responsibilities include delivering mathematics using the Open Up Resources through a workshop model. Teachers shall follow the Common Core Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards when delivering math and science instruction.  Teachers will also work closely within a collaborative team of middle school teachers, special education teachers, interventionists, and coaches to develop project-based learning units and integrative learning opportunities.
