Kingdom East School District is looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and creative Group Leaders for our K–8 afterschool programs.

We are seeking energetic individuals who can lead hands-on, engaging, project-based learning activities with elementary and/or middle school students.  This is a part time, school year position located at the school. Program hours are primarily Monday-Thursday, 2:30–5:30 p.m. when school is open. The hourly pay is $14.  Gain experience doing something that you love!

KESD seeks highly qualified special educators for the 2019-2020 school year to fulfill the role of Consulting Special Educator. These positions provide critical direction and consultation to our Content Specialists and Interventionists serving our learners with special needs. In addition to the consultative role, Consulting Special Educators provide leadership in the facilitation  and development of effective individualized education programs (IEPs) and the coordination of related services designed to support our students’ learning. The positions require applicants possess a thorough understanding of special education law, cognitive/social emotional development, IEP development and classroom interventions within a tiered system of supportive instruction. Kingdom East School District (KESD) is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to administer and interpret cognitive, academic and social-emotional functioning assessments for the 2019-20 school year. This position is an integral part of the special education evaluation team and collaborates closely with other evaluators, special educators, principals and classroom teachers to support the process of determining student eligibility for special education. The Psychologist also provides clinical supervision to school-based therapist in providing therapeutic intervention as part of a comprehensive system of student support. Successful candidates will possess advanced degrees in School Psychology and be eligible for licensure as a School Psychologist by the Vermont Agency of Education.

Literacy Coach

Kingdom East School District is looking to hire a Literacy Coach to join our instructional team as we implement a balanced literacy approach within a workshop model district-wide. The candidate must be a dynamic, high quality literacy leader interested in joining a forward thinking organization. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with classroom teachers to strengthen their literacy program (including lesson studies, lab sites, instructional rounds and other embedded programs), providing professional learning, collaborating, ensuring a written curriculum, using formative and summative assessments to drive professional learning, and working with a district literacy steering committee to guide literacy instruction district-wide. Individual will work closely with Director of Innovation and Learning, the instructional coaching team, and principals.

Experience with PreK-8 effective literacy strategies, workshop model, Teachers’ College reading and writing units of study, Common Core, the PLC at Work collaborative approach, Universal Design for Learning and formative assessment is a priority. The district provides mentorship and a supportive administration.

Kingdom East School District seeks a highly qualified special educator for the Lunenburg School. Successful candidate will have proven skills and experiences to deliver high quality instruction, competencies in facilitating IEP teams and the ability to coordinate related services for students with special needs. Under the direction of the Director of Student Services and school Principals, special educators will serve on grade level teams and collaborate extensively with general educators to assure our students have the opportunity to achieve in general education classrooms.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated leadership experience in providing specialized instruction and support to students with special needs within an inclusive classroom, have the ability to successfully provide consultation to teachers on behalf of these students, possess knowledge of academic and psychological assessments, and successful experience facilitating case management services within the context of an individualized education program.

This position requires strong teaming skills, flexibility and a willingness to assist in developing a strong special education support system.  Co-Teaching experience is a plus.

We are looking for a responsible individual to maintain and protect our facilities.  This position is full time. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, primarily afternoon and evenings during the school year and days during school vacations. The position includes customary cleaning and maintenance, including moving furniture, minor repairs and painting, snow removal in the winter, etc.  Physical endurance, an eye for detail and experience with cleaning equipment such as floor machines preferred, as well as flexibility for weekend special events.

We are seeking an energetic individual who can lead hands-on, engaging, project-based learning activities with elementary and/or middle school students.  This is a part time, school year position located at the school with grades K-8. Program hours are primarily Monday-Thursday, 2:30–5:30 p.m. when school is open.  The hourly pay is $14. Gain experience doing something that you love!
