We are seeking energetic individuals who can lead hands-on, engaging, project-based learning activities with elementary and/or middle school students.  This is a part time, school year position located at the school. Program hours are primarily Monday-Thursday, 2:30–5:30 p.m. when school is open. The hourly pay is $14.  Gain experience doing something that you love!

Seeking applicants for a full-time Instructional Assistant assigned for the Concord School in Concord, VT.  Under the direction of the Principal and the Student Services Director, this position supports specialized instruction and other supports for students in elementary grades.

Behavior Interventionist

KESD is seeking a Behavior Interventionist (BI) for the 2019-2020 school year for the Concord School.  This support position provides intensive support and therapeutic interventions to students with behavioral and social/emotional special needs.  Working under the direction of a special educator, the BI will implement intensive goal-directive services to assist students to access instruction in a functional and independent manner.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Human Services or related field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years providing instruction and/or therapeutic support under the requirements of an individual education program. Preference given to experiences with social skills development, autism, behavior management and de-escalation skills. Knowledge of PBIS a plus. Willing and able to implement a behavior management plan.
  • Clean driving record and criminal background check required.

Kingdom East School District is looking to hire a Literacy Coach to join our instructional team as we implement a balanced literacy approach within a workshop model district-wide. The candidate must be a dynamic, high quality literacy leader interested in joining a forward thinking organization. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with classroom teachers to strengthen their literacy program (including lesson studies, lab sites, instructional rounds and other embedded programs), providing professional learning, collaborating, ensuring a written curriculum, using formative and summative assessments to drive professional learning, and working with a district literacy steering committee to guide literacy instruction district-wide. Individual will work closely with Director of Innovation and Learning, the instructional coaching team, and principals.

Experience with PreK-8 effective literacy strategies, workshop model, Teachers’ College reading and writing units of study, Common Core, the PLC at Work collaborative approach, Universal Design for Learning and formative assessment is a priority. The district provides mentorship and a supportive administration.

Kingdom East School District seeks a highly qualified special educator for the Lunenburg School. Successful candidate will have proven skills and experiences to deliver high quality instruction, competencies in facilitating IEP teams and the ability to coordinate related services for students with special needs. Under the direction of the Director of Student Services and school Principals, special educators will serve on grade level teams and collaborate extensively with general educators to assure our students have the opportunity to achieve in general education classrooms.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated leadership experience in providing specialized instruction and support to students with special needs within an inclusive classroom, have the ability to successfully provide consultation to teachers on behalf of these students, possess knowledge of academic and psychological assessments, and successful experience facilitating case management services within the context of an individualized education program.

This position provides direction and consultation to our Content Specialists and Interventionists serving our learners with special needs.
