Concord School

Literacy Interventionist Long-Term Substitute

Concord School, serving children in PreK- grade 8, is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Literacy Intervention teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. Certified educator will provide supplemental/intervention support for students in kindergarten-grade 8.  Candidates must be dynamic, high quality literacy leaders interested in joining a high energy PLC school. Responsibilities include both delivering explicit literacy intervention to small groups of students in grades K-8 and working collaboratively with classroom teachers to strengthen their literacy program.  Individual will work closely with school and SU level literacy coaches, and school literacy specialists.

Experience with primary, elementary and middle level literacy strategies, workshop model, Fountas and Pinnell, reading and writing units of study, Common Core, PLC collaboration, positive behavior interventions, formative assessments, and Responsive Classroom are a  priority. PreSchool Special Ed Long Term Substitute

KESD is seeking applicants for a long-term substitute pre-school Special Educator to cover a 16- week leave of absence from November 1, 2018 through February 22, 2109.  The pre-school Special Educator is assigned to KESD schools and community pre-schools under the direction of the Student Services Director. This KESD serves the schools and other community sites in the towns of Burke, Concord, Gilman-Lunenberg, Lyndon, Newark, Sheffield, Sutton and Wheelock.

The preferred candidate will have experience in developing and implementing specialized instruction for preschools.  Applicants should demonstrate the ability to successfully develop and coordinate individualized education program, identify and evaluate developmental benchmarks within our preschool population and provide consultation to other teachers, parents, and care-providers.

The position requires strong teaming skills, flexibility and willingness to assist in developing a strong special education support system.  A current Vermont License in Pre-K Special Education Endorsement is required. The right candidate with eligibility for Vermont licensure will be considered.

These positions provide critical direction and consultation to our Content Specialists and Interventionists serving our learners with special needs. In addition to the consultative role, Consulting Special Educators provide leadership in the facilitation  and development of effective individualized education programs (IEPs) and the coordination of related services designed to support our students’ learning. Kingdom East School District seeks a highly qualified special educator for the Lunenburg School. Successful candidate will have proven skills and experiences to deliver high quality instruction, competencies in facilitating IEP teams and the ability to coordinate related services for students with special needs. Under the direction of the Director of Student Services and school Principals, special educators will serve on grade level teams and collaborate extensively with general educators to assure our students have the opportunity to achieve in general education classrooms.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated leadership experience in providing specialized instruction and support to students with special needs within an inclusive classroom, have the ability to successfully provide consultation to teachers on behalf of these students, possess knowledge of academic and psychological assessments, and successful experience facilitating case management services within the context of an individualized education program.

Kingdom East School District, serving children in PreK- grade 8,  seeks a Guidance Counselor. Candidates must be dynamic, high quality school guidance counselors interested in working in Sutton, Newark and Lunenburg schools.  Responsibilities include guidance instruction embedded in the classroom, as well as small group and individual school counseling services. Individual will be a member of Student Services and Educational Support Teams within schools.   Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, in partnership with area service agencies, and build strong relationships with families a necessity. Candidate must demonstrate ability to work effectively with collaborative teams, knowledge of positive behavior interventions, multi-tiered supports, and Responsive Classroom practices.  We seek creative, passionate counselors with a sense of humor and genuine love for working with young people within a collaborative team environment. Miller’s Run School, serving children in PreK-grade 8 seeks to hire a Literacy Intervention Teacher.  This is a .25 FTE position, with the possibility of increasing time in the future.

Candidates must be dynamic, high quality literacy leaders interested in joining a high energy Professional Learning Community school.  Responsibilities include both delivering explicit literacy intervention to small groups of students and working collaboratively with classroom teachers to strengthen their literacy program.  Individual will work closely with school and Supervisory District literacy coaches, and school literacy specialists.

Experience with early and middle level literacy strategies, workshop model, Fontas & Pinnell reading and writing units of study, Common Core, PLC collaboration, positive behavior interventions, formative assessments, and responsive Classroom are a priority.  We seek creative passionate teachers with a sense of humor and genuine love for working with young people while supporting teachers to improve in literacy instruction.
