2025 SheJumps & KEAP Junior Ski Patrol Event at Burke Mountain

January 27, 2025

KEAP is excited to announce that we are hosting the third SheJumps Junior Ski Patrol event at Burke Mountain!

Kingdom East Afterschool Programs (KEAP) is excited to be partnering with SheJumps to offer a Junior Ski Patrol event at Burke Mountain on Sunday, March 2nd from 9am - 4pm! This SheJumps Wild Skills event is structured as a full-day camp experience intended for girls in grades 3rd-8th grade who are intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders. Event Registration includes lift tickets, lunch and snacks. This event is free to students in the Kingdom East School District, when you register with the code. Registration will cost $40 for non Kingdom East Students, although scholarships are available.

Program Summary:

SheJumps' Junior Ski Patrol seeks to mentor young girls in mountain safety and first aid while working with the strong women of the ski patrol community. At the Burke Mountain event, girls will be introduced to ski patrol through workshops on first aid, weather, toboggans, etc. This event will encourage girls to learn new skills, take on challenges and think creatively which develops perseverance and fosters confidence.

Our goal is to see girls learning, having fun and connecting in an encouraging environment with amazing instruction and support from female mentors. We want Wild Skills to be an experience they will remember, one that will spark a lifetime of passion for the outdoors and will remind them that they are capable of anything.

Skier/Boarder Ability Level:

This event is intended for intermediate to expert skiers & snowboarders . As part of the registration process, you will be asked a variety of questions about how confident the skier/rider is on particular runs at Burke Mountain to help us determine which team they are best suited for.

Cost:

This event is free for Kingdom East School District students. This event costs $40 for non-Kingdom East Students, although scholarships are available. All participants that don't have a season pass can be given a lift ticket for the day. Please note that preregistration is required as space is limited!
