Pricing & Payment Policy

Kingdom East offers meals at no charge to all students using the Community Eligibility Provision. The State of Vermont will provide a Universal Meals Supplement to cover the cost of any “paid” student meals. Our meal charge policy will remain in effect for a la carte items, second meals, and adult meals.

2024-2025 Meal Prices:

Per 2nd Serving and Staff Lunches, please take advantage of the options to prepay your student's meal accounts. Prepaid meal accounts help the lunch lines go faster and gives students more time to eat, relax, and play. It also gives you the peace of mind of not having to worry about looking for lunch money every day or worry that it might get lost, stolen or used for other things other than lunch.

Schools Operating Under CEP

We are pleased to inform you that all schools in Kingdom East School District (Burke, Concord, Lunenburg, Lyndon, Miller’s Run, Newark, Sutton) will be implementing a new program available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

Online Payments

Online payments are a simple, safe and secure way to make payments to your students account 24 hours a day at your convenience.

Send Check or Cash

You can always bring money personally or send it with your student. Please place it in an envelope marked clearly with your student's name, their ID #, their teacher's name, the $ amount and the check #. Turn in prepaid deposits to the cafeteria cashier(s) or school office.

If you choose to bring money to school personally or send it with your student, please put it in an envelope clearly marked with the student's first and last name, their ID #, their teacher's name, and the amount enclosed.


Kingdom East Summer Camp

Free Meals Available this Summer at Kingdom East Summer Camp, July 1 - August 3: Breakfast and Lunch will be served to all students, for free, each day at camp, as well as an afternoon snack! 


For information on receiving meals this summer, call 2-1-1, the United Way-run resource hotline, or go to the USDA Summer Meals for Kids Site Finder: https://www.fns.usda.gov/summer/sitefinder. All sites listed are open to all children, 18 and under. Information is available beginning mid-June and updates are made on a weekly basis. Some sites may provide grab-and-go meals that can be consumed off-site.

S-EBT Program Announcement: Eligible Vermont School Children to Receive Financial Support for Summer Meals

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved Vermont’s Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (SEBT) plan to help feed eligible school aged children during the summer vacation months. Vermont is among the first states to launch the new permanent SEBT program.


The Department for Children and Families (DCF) will be issuing a preloaded EBT card to those who don’t have one yet. Households where the school aged child is receiving 3SquaresVT benefits, their S-EBT will be loaded on the same card. The benefit is $120 for the summer per child. Families can use the benefits to purchase groceries. For additional information, including specific eligibility criteria, visit summerebt.vermont.gov.
