Our Middle School Initiative
One-to-One (1:1) at Newark
Here at Newark, we provide Macbook Air computers for each student in Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth grade.
Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, and Fourth Graders use iPads.
The benefits of one-to-one computing are improvements in writing, literacy, science, exam scores, and GPAs all have been noted in various research studies.
One-to-One Computing Goals:
- improving academic achievement
- increasing equity of access
- increasing economic competitiveness
- creating good digital citizens
- transforming the quality of instruction
