2024 STUDENT WELLNESS FAIR

2024 Student Wellness Fair (for KESD Students in Grades 3-8)

The Kingdom East School District is continuing its collaboration and partnership with over 20 local community educators, businesses, and resources to build a robust Wellness Fair, Discovery of Wellness and Visions of Success, that focuses on educating and celebrating the 'Whole Child Wellness.'

KESD students in grades 3rd-8th will attend workshops that incorporate various aspects of Wellness and Health including but not limited to: Physical Health, Nutrition, Personal Health, Mental Health Promotion, Social and Emotional Health and Career Exploration. These workshops will elevate the instructional efforts that are currently happening within each of the KESD schools. This Wellness Fair is an interactive way for students to participate and be educated in their own personal 'Whole Health & Wellness,' paving the way for a healthy and successful future!

The Wellness Fair will be broken out into two days & the days will be split up by grade.
  • Tuesday, May 21st (for Grades 3-5)
  • Wednesday, May 22nd (for Grades 6-8)

Wellness Fair Logistics:
  • WHEN: May 21st (grades 3-5) & May 22nd (grades 6-8) from 9am-2pm.
  • LOCATION: Burke Mountain Resort and Hotel/Conference Center has agreed to partner in the event and will be hosting the fair. This is exciting as the venue is bigger and lends hand to the fair theme, "Discovering Wellness and Visions for Success," opening more opportunities for workshops and incorporating the outdoors naturally into the format.
  • TRANSPORTATION: All students are expected to ride the school bus to and from the Burke Mountain Hotel & Conference center unless an educational plan has been arranged by administration. Your child will be bussed to the Burke Mountain Hotel & Conference Center and participating in two to four workshops during the day.
  • KICKOFF: The Fair will begin with 10min motivational speech from 2 area motivational speakers Karri Willy and Andrea Thibadeau who will set the intention for the "Discovery of Wellness and Visions for Success" fair.
  • ENTERANCE/EXIT TICKET: All students will receive a folder that has an Entrance/Exit ticket to be completed to enter them a raffle drawing after the fair, 40 winners, all donations from community partners. In addition, every student (all 800 grades 3-8) are receiving a gift certificate from The Pizza Man for a free kiddie ice cream.
  • BREAKFAST/LUNCH: Students will eat breakfast prior to loading the buses. Students will either bring their own bag lunch from home or will be provided with a bag lunch from school.
  • PARTNER PRESENTATIONS: The caveat of partnering is all presenters will take a minimum of 5-10min to talk about their career trajectory and path that led them there. Our goal is for KESD students to leave more curious than when they arrived about their own wellness and career possibilities...dream big, never live small.
