The Kingdom East School Board has begun a strategic planning process to create a 5 year plan. On December 20th, a group of district teachers, administrators and board members convened a Think Tank to consider the next steps as we look at opportunities and challenges ahead. We are considering expanded student opportunity, equitable access to programs, healthy schools and class sizes and other potential changes moving forward. The Think Tank group will convene again in the end of January. They will reach out in each school and the community to garner additional input.

Campers discovered that reading is more than just turning pages. It is an adventure, a mystery to solve, a chance to explore new cultures, and an opportunity to build lifelong skills.
This summer, students at KESD Summer Camp enjoyed another successful Humanities Camp, a special collaboration between Vermont Humanities and KESD Summer Camp.
Throughout camp, certified KESD teachers led engaging lessons that helped students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and discover that math can be both meaningful and fun.
Seven 7th & 8th grade students backpacked the Long Trail for four days!
